SJB Candidate Hospitalized In Nighttime Attack in Nagoda

COLOMBO (News 1st): A candidate contesting in the upcoming Local Government Election was injured in a shooting incident that occurred last night in the Nagoda area of Kalutara.

The victim, a 51-year-old male candidate representing the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), was reportedly standing in front of a residence when two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle opened fire and fled the scene.

He was immediately admitted to the Kalutara Nagoda Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.
