Stocks of Heroin Seized by Navy Destroyed Under Court Order

COLOMBO (News 1st): The destruction of 494 kilograms and 48 grams of heroin, seized by Sri Lanka Navy during two separate operations, has commenced.
The stock is being destroyed at a furnace belonging to a cement company in Palaviya, Puttalam.
According to the Police, the stock of heroin was destroyed on the orders of the High Court, following the conclusion of the related legal proceedings.
