COLOMBO (News 1st) - The preliminary round of discussions related to the fourth review of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) loan tranche is scheduled to conclude today.
IMF representatives have remained in Sri Lanka for about a week for this purpose.
They held a series of discussions with officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank, as well as with representatives from several government institutions.
Following these discussions, a staff-level agreement with the IMF is expected to be reached.
Sri Lanka is expected to receive USD 335 million under the fifth IMF loan tranche.
