Enhanced Security For Easter Sunday Services

COLOMBO (News 1st); For Easter Sunday, the Secretary of Defense has instructed the heads of the tri-forces to ensure heightened security around churches.

Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) issued these directives during a special meeting held yesterday (17).

The Defence Secretary emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts with the Ministry of Public Security to facilitate these measures effectively and maintain a secure environment across all places of worship.

The primary goal is to provide the public with a peaceful and secure environment to participate in Easter Sunday services.
