Temporary Suspension of Bus Seat Reservations

COLOMBO (News 1st); Seat reservations for passengers using public transport buses have been temporarily suspended until the 21st of this month. 

This decision was made by the National Transport Commission to accommodate the increased number of passengers relying on buses for their travel needs during the upcoming holiday season.

Additionally, buses must operate continuously on the routes specified in their passenger service permits. 

The National Transport Commission also mandates that any driver exceeding 14 hours of service must be replaced by another driver.

Furthermore, the use of passenger transport buses for special tours during the New Year period is prohibited.
