Legal Advisory Session on Local Government Election Petitions to be Held Today

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A legal advisory session will be held today at the Attorney General's Department regarding the 24 petitions filed in relation to the local government elections.

The session will focus on explaining the relevant legal provisions and the decisions taken.

It will be attended by the Election Commissioner General, senior officials of the Election Commission, and senior officials from the Attorney General's Department.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission has announced that official ballot papers for the local government elections will be delivered to the post office on April 16.
