Sri Lanka, Australia to hold Talks On Strategic Maritime Dialogue

COLOMBO (News 1st); The 05th Round of Senior Officials Talks and 03rd Strategic Maritime Dialogue between Sri Lanka and Australia will be held from 25th- 26th March 2025 at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia in Canberra.

The two meetings will be co-chaired by Yasoja Gunasekera, Additional Secretary/Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment & Tourism and Sarah Storey, First Assistant Secretary, South and Central Asia Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia.

The consultations will take stock of the bilateral, regional and multilateral relationship between the two countries including on strengthening cooperation in key areas, including political engagement, economic partnership, maritime cooperation, development partnership, defence, education, tourism and people-to-people engagement. The two sides will also exchange views on developments of interest to both countries.
