Deputy Minister T. B Sarath Asserts Legal Action Will Follow Batalanda Report

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Deputy Minister of Housing, T. B Sarath, said that all future actions regarding the Batalanda Commission report will be taken in full accordance with the law. 

He stressed that the actions are not driven by political vendetta, but are in the interest of justice. 

Sarath emphasized that there is significant evidence linking former President Ranil Wickremesinghe to the matter, with key information previously left in the possession of Chandrika Kumaratunga now being brought to light. 

The findings have been submitted to the Attorney General for further legal action.

Sarath further clarified that the law is being applied impartially and that it is the right of the people to seek justice.
