2025 Budget Committee Stage Debate to Conclude Today (21)

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Committee Stage Debate of the Budget, also known as the debate on the third reading of the Appropriation Bill, concludes today.

The vote on this is scheduled to be held at 5 PM today.

Today's debate will focus on the Expenditure Head of the Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Affairs.

The Second Reading of the Appropriation Bill, also known as the Budget Speech, was passed in Parliament on the 25th of February with a majority of 109 votes.

President Anura Kumara Disanayake presented the 2025 Budget to Parliament on the 10th of February.
