Air Quality Deteriorates In Colombo, Galle

COLOMBO (News 1st); The air quality in the cities of Colombo and Galle has significantly declined, according to the National Building Research Organization (NBRO). 

The current Air Quality Index (AQI) levels in these areas range between 40 and 60, which is below the level considered healthy for the average human body.

The NBRO has advised that special attention should be given to vulnerable groups, particularly the elderly and young children, who are more susceptible to the adverse effects of poor air quality.
