US Envoy and CBSL Chief Discuss IMF Progress

COLOMBO (News 1st); US Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Julie Chung held talks with Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe, the Central Bank Governor.

She posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that their discussion were on Sri Lanka's economic prospects.

The ambassador noted that as Sri Lanka approached the end of year two of the IMF program it’s more important than ever for Sri Lanka to continue building market confidence and come out on the other side with a stable and growing economy – one that is ready to do business with America.
