Police Shoot at Car, Arrest Couple with Drugs

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's Police in Malabe opened fire on a car that failed to comply with their orders to stop. 

The incident occurred when the vehicle, carrying a couple, ignored police instructions and continued driving.

According to police reports, the couple was arrested, and a search of the car revealed two kilograms of cannabis. 

The police stated that shots were fired at the car's tires to bring it to a halt.
