Rivalry Turns Deadly: Kotahena Shooting Claims Life

COLOMBO (News 1st); A shooting on St. Benedict's Mawatha in Kotahena claimed the life of an individual associated with the infamous drug dealer, Pukudu Kanna. 

Police sources indicate that the attack was orchestrated by a rival faction led by a woman known as Kudu Selvi.

Senior police officials disclosed that the incident occurred at approximately 7:30 PM yesterday.

Two assailants, arriving on a motorcycle, targeted the victim who was standing near a three-wheeler. 

Despite being transported to the hospital, the 43-year-old man succumbed to his injuries.

The Colombo Crime Division, supported by four specialized police teams, has been mobilized to conduct a thorough investigation. 

Police Spokesman Senior Superintendent of Police Buddhika Manatunga confirmed that the suspects fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
