Expo Lanka Refutes Claims of Port Misconduct

COLOMBO (News 1st): Expo Lanka Holdings has firmly denied allegations regarding the alleged unauthorized release of 323 containers from the port without proper inspection.

In response to an inquiry by News1st, the company clarified that while Expo Freight Forward Limited operates under its umbrella, it does not engage in the importation of goods.

The company emphasized that Expo Freight Forward Limited's role is limited to facilitating import and export processes for various parties, providing necessary support services.

News1st also reached out to Western Province Governor Hanif Yusuf for a comment on the matter.

Governor Yusuf stressed that he currently holds no decision-making position within Expo Lanka.

He highlighted that he resigned from all his positions following the company's delisting from the stock market last March and now serves solely as an advisor.

Governor Yusuf reiterated that he has no involvement in the company's operational activities.
