Shooting Attempt in Kosgoda Fails

COLOMBO (News 1st); An attempted shooting at a residence in the Maha-Induruwa area of Kosgoda had failed early on Thursday (30) morning.

According to Police Spokesperson SSP Buddhika Manathunga, two individuals arrived on a motorcycle, with one entering the house and attempting to shoot the resident.

The assailant used a 9mm pistol in the attempt. 

Police recovered three bullets from the scene and also found the pistol brought by the suspects nearby. The motive behind the shooting remains unknown at this time.
