Train Services Disrupted Again Due to Efficiency Bar Examination

COLOMBO (News 1st): Train services have been disrupted once more due to a group of train drivers participating in an efficiency bar examination, resulting in drivers not engaging in double shifts and taking leave.

General Manager of Sri Lanka Railways Dhammika Jayasundara confirmed that many train journeys were canceled yesterday, but efforts have been made to run inter-city and long-distance trains as per the schedules.

The night mail train will operate as usual, with normal services expected from Monday. 

Additionally, 22 train journeys scheduled for this morning have been canceled.
