Five Acting Ministers Appointed to Oversee Key Ministries During President's Visit to China

COLOMBO (News 1st): With President Anura Kumara Disanayake’s departure from the country for a State Visit to China, at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, five acting ministers have been appointed to oversee key ministries under the president’s purview.

Acting ministers have been appointed for three ministries under the President’s purview: 

Deputy Minister Eranga Weeraratne as the Minister of Digital Economy.

Deputy Minister Aruna Jayasekara as the Minister of Defence.

Deputy Minister Anil Jayantha Fernando as the Minister of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development.

Deputy Minister Arun Hemachandra as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism.

Dr. Prasanna Kumara Gunasena as the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation.
