Three Arrested in Connection with Wattegama Fish Market Owner's Murder

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The suspects arrested in connection with the murder of a fish stall owner in Wattegama have been remanded until the 17th.

The police stated that the suspects, who were arrested yesterday, were remanded after being presented to the Teldeniya Magistrate's Court.

On the 3rd of this month, the owner of a fish stall in Wattegama was murdered with sharp weapons.

The police further stated that a team of officers from the Matale District Crime Investigation Division arrested the three suspects yesterday afternoon in the Kurundugahahetekma and Ambalantota areas.

The arrested individuals are residents of Karandeniya, aged 34, 38, and 39.
