COLOMBO (News 1st) - The recent showery weather conditions have caused disruptions for traffic and hampered railway operations.
News 1st Correspondent said the Nuwara Eliya - Udupusellawa road is inundated from Kandapola, with water levels reaching up to 5 feet, disrupting vehicular movement.
The flow of traffic along Badulla-Mahiyanganaya road has been hampered due to a tree falling near the 17th mile post.
Railway Operations between Ohiya and Idalgashinna stations have been delayed due to an earthslip on the Upcountry railway line.
The Railway Operation and Control Center says that this has led to delays and work to remove the debris is underway.
