Medicine Prices Set for Immediate Reduction

COLOMBO (News 1st): The National Medicines Regulatory Authority has announced plans to immediately reduce the prices of 90 types of medicines.

However, obstacles have emerged as several pharmaceutical companies have filed a lawsuit in district court, challenging the decision. 

A senior officer said that a motion will be presented to address the legal issues, but the price reductions will proceed as planned.
