COLOMBO (News 1st); President Anura Kumara Dissanayake was ceremonially welcomed at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in India, where the event was attended by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Indian President Droupadi Murmu, and senior officials.
Following the ceremony, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is scheduled to hold talks with Prime Minister Modi. The meeting will focus on several key agreements.
The President’s Media Division said that discussions will also take place between President Dissanayake and Indian President Droupadi Murmu.
President Dissanayake and his delegation also engaged in discussions with Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of External Affairs Dr. S. Jaishankar, and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
The President’s delegation includes Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism Vijitha Herath, Minister of Labor and Economic Development Professor Anil Jayantha Fernando, and other senior officials.
The three-day official visit is set to conclude tomorrow.
