90,000 Security Personnel and Drones Deployed for 2024 Parliamentary Election Monitoring

COLOMBO (News 1st): Over 90,000 personnel of the Sri Lanka police and triforces have been deployed for security during the 2024 Parliamentary election. 

Police say that drones will be used throughout 24 hours, to monitor the Parliamentary election. 

Police Spokesman DIG Nihal Thalduwa says that drones will be used to monitor activities at vote counnting centers within the Colombo city as well. 


Multiple telephone numbers are also operational for the general public to report any incident concerning the Parliamentary election.
