Three Presidential Candidates Yet to Submit Income and Expenditure Reports to EC

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Election Commission has announced that it will submit the income and expenditure reports of presidential candidates to the police next week.

Candidates were required to submit their reports by October 13.

Out of all candidates, 35 have complied with the requirement.

However, Ven. Battaramulle Seelarathana Thero, Sarath Keerthiratne, and P. Ariyanethran are yet to file their reports.

According to the Presidential Elections Act, these reports must be submitted to the Police within 10 days after the deadline.

The Election Commission said it will proceed with this submission next week.
