Over 158,000 Affected by Severe Weather in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lankan authorities have disclosed that a total of 158,391 people have been affected by adverse weather conditions.

During a media briefing, officials stated that these individuals belong to 40,516 families.

The adverse weather has impacted 89 divisional secretariats across 16 districts.

It was also revealed at the briefing that the President has directed the allocation of an additional Rs. 50 million to provide relief to the affected people.
