COLOMBO (News 1st); Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the presidential candidate of the National People's Power (NPP), emphasized the importance of principled politics during a public rally held in Kegalle yesterday afternoon.
Addressing the crowd, Dissanayake asserted that only the NPP upholds true political principles.
"Only the National People's Force has a principled politics," Dissanayake declared. He criticized the current political landscape, highlighting that some in parliament are linked to crimes, fraud, and the fueling of racism.
He added that the NPP's political platform is not associated with any such person, or camp.
He urged voters to discern between good and bad candidates, emphasizing the need for immediate and decisive action.
"We will win on the 21st of September," Dissanayake proclaimed. He outlined his vision for post-election reforms, including a powerful amendment to the constitution. He warned against political opportunism, stating, "If you crossover, your membership is over."
