International Observers Gear Up for Presidential Poll

COLOMBO (News 1st); In the lead-up to the highly anticipated presidential elections in Sri Lanka, several international bodies have announced plans to dispatch delegations to oversee the democratic process. 

Among them is the European Election Observation Organization, which has a long-standing tradition of monitoring elections to ensure transparency and fairness.

Adding to the international presence, the People’s Action for Free and Fair Elections or PAFFREL, a prominent domestic election watchdog, has initiated talks with an Asian Election Monitoring Body as well.
