COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Attorney General told the Colombo High Court today that he will file objections to the bail request of former MP Hirunika Premachandra.
The statement was made when the case was taken up before Colombo High Court Judge Amal Ranaraja.
Senior State Counsel Vishwa Wijesuriya, who appeared for the Attorney General, requested for time to file the objections in writing.
Accordingly, the Colombo High Court Judge allowed for the objections to be filed. He said that the case will be taken up again on July 11.
Hirunika Premachandra was sentenced to three years of rigorous imprisonment on June 28.
