COLOMBO (News 1st); The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka says a decision will be reached on Friday (30) regarding the proposals presented by the Ceylon Electricity Board, to reduce electricity tariffs.
A senior official said public opinions were obtained yesterday regarding the proposals.
The public expressed their views regarding the reduction of electricity tariffs.
The CEB proposed to reduce electricity tariffs from the 1st of July.
The CEB has also planned to reduce the electricity tariff in domestic and religious places using up to 30 units by 23 percent, and in hotels and factories by 29 to 40 percent.
