AG Meets President Amidst Lasantha Case Controversy

COLOMBO (News 1st); A controversial situation has arisen regarding the Attorney General's recommendation to the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department concerning the three suspects in the murder case of journalist Lasantha Wickrematunge.

The Attorney General's recommendation stated that there would be no further legal action against the suspects, Prem Ananda Udalagama, Don Thissasiri Sugathapala, and Prasanna Nanayakkara.

In light of this controversy, the Attorney General met with the President this afternoon.

The Attorney General arrived at the President's Office around 2 PM and left around 5 PM.
