Former CWC Leader Sivalingam dies at 79

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Former Leader of the Ceylon Workers' Congress (CWC) Muthu Sivalingam has passed away.

Sources said that he passed away at the age of 79 on Wednesday (23)

He was a Member of Parliament for the Nuwara Eliya District.

He was in parliament from 1994 to 2015.

He was also the Deputy Minister of Primary Industries, Deputy Minister of Agriculture & Livestock, Minister of Estate Housing Infrastructure and Community Development, and the Deputy Minister of Economic Development.
