Price Drop: Bread prices reduced by Rs. 10/-

COLOMBO (News 1st)- The price of a 450g loaf of bread in Sri Lanka will be reduced by Rs. 10/- with effect from Monday (31).

The All Ceylon Bakery Owners Association announced the decision was taken considering the situation in the country, as well as the prices of wheat flour.

N. K. Jayawardena the Chairman of the All Ceylon Bakery Owners Association said that the prices of other bakery products will be reduced as well.

Since June 2022, the prices increased and a loaf of bread weighing at 450g was even sold for 300/-.

However, the prices are expected to come down following Monday's (31) decision.
