Egg Prices: Study on production cost

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The State Ministry of Livestock Farm Promotion and Dairy & Egg Related Industries says that a study is underway to determine the exact cost of production of eggs.
State Minister D. B. Herath said that the objective of the study is to ensure that the sale of eggs does not cause any disadvantage to egg producers and consumers.
Further, he said that after the study is completed, steps will be taken to submit a report to the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA).
