Outgoing Omani Ambassador vows support strengthening of bilateral relations

COLOMBO (News 1st); The outgoing Ambassador of Sultanate of Oman to Sri Lanka, Juma Hamdan Hassan AlMalik Alshehhi called on the Speaker, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena yesterday (04).

The Omani Ambassador stated that he would support the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries in fuel, gas and investment opportunities.

Moreover, the need to strengthen relations between the two countries through the Sri Lanka-Oman Parliamentary Friendship Association was also discussed between the two dignitaries.

The Speaker appreciated Ambassador Juma Hamdan’s support to Sri Lanka during his eight years in office, and the Secretary General of the Parliament, Dhammika Dasanayake was also present at this occasion.
