COLOMBO (News 1st); A group of residents are currently engaged in a protest by blocking the Ja-Ela-Negombo road at the Bopitiya junction demanding for fuel.
Due to this protest, the vehicular movement on the road has been disrupted and the Police have advised drivers to use alternative routes.
Meanwhile, our correspondents stated that long queues for fuel were observed in many cities including Colombo since early morning today (21).
There has been a long queues at the Dematagoda petrol station since last night.
Moreover, protests were held on the Colombo-Kandy road this morning blocking roads in several towns including Warakapola, Mawanella and Yakkala demanding fuel.
