Three Arrested for Embezzling Over 20 Million Rupees in Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Fraud

COLOMBO (News 1st); Three individuals have been apprehended for embezzling over 20 million Sri Lankan rupees through fraudulent cheque transactions by manipulating the software data within the Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical System.

The arrests were made by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), with two of the suspects being women. 

The suspects, aged 35, 32, and 25, are residents of Kelaniya.

Following their presentation before the Negombo Magistrate's Court, they have been remanded in custody until the 11th of this month.
