'Act with care and understanding' - Letter to Armed Forces from Multi-disciplinary group of leading professionals

COLOMBO (News 1st); A group of concerned professionals consisting largely of legal and medical practitioners under the banner of “Direction Sri Lanka – Independent Professionals for the Nation” have called on the armed forces to act with care and understanding and exercise utmost restraint when dealing with protestors.

In a letter to the Commanders of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and the Inspector General of Police, the expert group requests that they impress this position on each and every person under their command.
