Rambukkana shooting: HRCSL calls for special report

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) has called for a special report with regard to shots being fired at protestors in Rambukkana on Tuesday evening (Apr. 19). A special team has been assigned to investigate the Rambukkana shooting incident, Retired Supreme Court Judge Rohini Marasinghe, the Chairperson of the HRCSL told News 1st. The Human Rights Commission has also called for an emergency meeting on Wednesday (Apr. 20). According to the HRCSL Chairperson, the steps that can be taken against the conduct of the Sri Lanka Police over the Rambukkana shooting incident will be discussed at the meeting.
