Over 33,000 Land Dispute Cases Pending in District Courts

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Justice and National Integration has announced a new initiative aimed at expediting the resolution of backlogged land dispute cases. 

Minister Harsha Nanayakkara stated that over 33,000 land dispute cases are currently pending in district courts, accounting for 13% of the total cases in these courts.

To address this issue, the ministry plans to establish a committee comprising multiple stakeholders to study and implement effective solutions.
