Train derails close to Kala Oya railway station

COLOMBO (News 1st); A Train had derailed close to the Kala Oya Train Station on Friday (31) evening.

The Railways Control Room said a cargo train from Seeduwa to Trincomalee has thus derailed.

The train engine and six compartments had gone off track, said the Railways Control Room adding that this will delay operation from Batticaloa to Trincomalee.
