COLOMBO (News 1st); The Central Bank of Sri Lanka says that inflation in Sri Lanka had risen to 11.1% for November.
A report by CBSL stated that food inflation had risen to 16.9% in November, which is an increase from 9.4% the same month last year.
The report added that cost of vegetables, rice, milk powder, big onions, fresh fish and chicken had increased, whilst the inflation in the non-food category had risen to 6.2% in November.
In the same month last year, the rate stood at 1.7%.
