COLOMBO (News 1st): The remains of the victim of the mob lynching in Sialkot, Pakistan will be brought to Sri Lanka tomorrow (06) with State sponsorship, says the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Issuing a statement, the Ministry stated that it has facilitated for the remains of the deceased to be handed over to his relatives at the Bandaranaike International Airport.
Moreover, the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in Islamabad has requested for a full report on the incident from the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan.
The employer of the deceased, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the High Commission of Sri Lanka in Islamabad is currently in discussion to provide compensation for the deceased.
