Pujith & Hemasiri indicted over Easter Attacks

COLOMBO (News 1st); An indictment with 855 counts was handed over to Ex-IGP Pujith Jayasundara and Ex-Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando on Friday (1) at the Colombo Permanent High Court Trial-at-Bar for failing to prevent the 2019 April 21st Attacks.

The Court ordered for the evidence examination to begin on the 22nd of November and also ordered for a summons to be served on the 1st and 2nd witnesses from the prosecution to be present in court on that day, to provide evidence.

The bench comprising of Justice, Namal Balalle, Aditya Patabandige, and Mohamed Issadeen were appointed by the Chief Justice upon a request made by the Attorney General.
