Ajith Nivard Cabraal appointed as CBSL Governor

COLOMBO (News 1st); President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has appointed Ajith Nivard Cabraal as the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
Cabraal will assume duties as the 16th Governor of the Central Bank on the 15th of September 2021, said the President's Media Division.
Ajith Nivard Cabraal was also the twelfth Governor, assuming duties in July 2006 and vacating his position in January 2015.
