(VIDEO) Protest leads to altercation at Akmeemana Pradeshiya Sabha

COLOMBO (News 1st); Fisticuffs broke out at the Akmeemana Pradeshiya Sabah on Tuesday (20) following a protest staged by the members of the opposition.

The opposition members marched to the Akmeemana Pradeshiya Sabha premises in protest of the government's conduct.

During their protest water was thrown at them from the Pradeshiya Sabha premises.

After the opposition members entered the premises, an altercation took place.

It was reported that the situation was brought under control moments later and the session of the Pradeshiya Sabah resumed.
