Revelation on construction of a flyover from Kelani bridge

COLOMBO (News1st): Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Harsha De Silva has made a revelation about the construction work of the flyover that runs from the Kelani Bridge to Athuruguriya being handed over to a Chinese Company. "...Udaya Gammanpila has given the project to construct the flyover that runs from Athurugiriya to the Port City to a Chinese Company," Dr Harsha De Silva, a lawmaker of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya said. He added that it has been handed over to the company as a Build Operate Transfer model. "The project will be completed in 3 years. For 15 years they will enjoy the benefits of this flyover and then only it will be handed over to Sri Lanka," De Silva told reporters. He pointed out that the Government is going to pay this company 54 Million USD once every 6 months, amounting to 1.6 million US dollars at the end of 15 years.
