Multiple GN Divisions in 04 districts including Colombo isolated: NOCPCO

COLOMBO (News 1st): Multiple areas in several districts including Colombo were placed under isolation with immediate effect on Saturday morning (May 01), Army Commander General Shavendra Silva, the Head of the National Operations Centre on Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) told News 1st. The newly isolated areas are as follows: In the Colombo District: Nampamunuwa and Gorakapitiya Grama Niladhari Divisions of the Piliyandala Police jurisdiction In the Galle District: Godahena and Thalgasgoda Grama Niladhari Divisions of the Ambalangoda Police jurisdiction In the Ampara District: Dehiattakandiya and Kadirapura Grama Niladhari Divisions of the Dehiattakandiya Police jurisdiction In the Ratnapura District: Hapugoda Grama Niladhari Division of the Kalawana Police Jurisdiction Army Commander General Shavendra Silva urged the residents of the isolated areas NOT to exit the particular area and take precautions to prevent the spread of the virus.
