Reckless expressway driver arrested

Colombo (News1st): The driver of the car which was witnessed being driven recklessly on the Southern Expressway has been remanded until the 22nd. The suspect was produced before the Panadura Magistrate yesterday, Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said. Another 04 passengers had been in the car. They have been identified and their names and addresses have been traced, he further added. A special police team have been deployed to apprehend them. The Deputy Police Chief further added, the registered owner of the vehicle had arrived at the traffic police division and his statement was recorded.
