SL to purchase 06 million additional doses of Russian COVID vaccine

Colombo (News 1st);  The Sri Lankan Cabinet of Ministers approved to purchase of another 06 million doses of the 'Sputnik V' COVID-19 vaccine.

On the 23rd of March 2021, the Cabinet of Ministers approved to purchase of 07 million doses of the Russian 'Sputnik V' vaccine at $ 9.95 US per dose and a total cost of $69.65 million. This was upon the recommendation of the Cabinet Appointed Negotiation Committee. Accordingly, on Tuesday (06) it was announced that the Cabinet approved to purchase of the additional 07 million doses at the same price.
