(VIDEO) Manusha accuses speaker of bias over face mask issue in Parliament

Colombo (News 1st); MP Manusha Nanayakkara accused the Speaker of bias with regard to wearing face masks in Parliament. 

The MP said the Speaker requested MP He Vithanage to wear his face mask when making comments but did not instruct Minister

 Rajapaksa to do the same when he was making comments.

 

The incident took place when opposition lawmakers on Wednesday (10) alleged the government has failed to manage finances.

 

MP Hesha Withanage pointed out in Parliament that two helicopters accompany the President during most of his visits, adding that the President had earlier stated he would not permit wasting public funds.

 Rajapaksa said two helicopters accompany the President for security purposes adding only three vehicles are used when traveling by road.
