16-hour water cut in several areas on Saturday (20)

COLOMBO (News 1st): The water supply to the Colombo Municipal Council area and several other areas will be interrupted for 16-hours from 8.00 am to 12.00 midnight on Saturday (Feb. 20), the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) said on Thursday (Feb. 18) The water cut will be in effect in the Municipal Council areas of Colombo, Dehiwala-Mt. Lavinia, Kotte and Kaduwela; Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa and Kolonnawa Urban Council areas; Kotikawaththa and Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha areas and Ratmalana. According to the Water Board, the water cut is due to essential maintenance on Ceylon Electricity Board Power supply line to Ambatale Treatment Plant Intake.
